Goldsmid House provides clean, friendly and affordable accommodation in the heart of Central London. Starting at £41.50 per person per night, Goldsmid House is an ideal starting point for the tourist and the traveller alike.

All the rooms in this newly opened residence (completed in 2008) have their own private shower room and each guest has access to an equipped kitchen shared with seven other rooms.

Goldsmid House is only a few minutes walk away from Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral and some of London's theaters.

We are, unfortunately, unable to accommodate guests under 18.

Dining and drinking

We offer accommodation on a room-only basis, with each guest having access to a kitchen shared between seven single rooms. Each kitchen is equipped with basic essentials for guests' use.

There are numerous pubs, bars and restaurants nearby to suit all tastes and budgets. Pret a Manger, Nando's and Starbucks are a few minutes' walk, as well as Mexican, Chinese and Indian restaurants.

There are also shopping facilities close to the residence should you wish to cook your own meals. Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer - 50m from the residence. Tesco Metro - 10 min walk from the residence. We ask guests to do their own tidying and washing up after their meals.

Other facilities

Internet: Every room has a broadband internet access point, requiring an ethernet cable. A voucher can be purchased at the reception for a minimum of one week (2009 rates: £8 for 1 week, £12 for 2 weeks, £22 for 4 weeks, £27 for 12 weeks). We do not offer WiFi access.

Launderette: A coin operated launderette is available on site.

Lift: There is a lift access to all floors.

Vending Machine: There is a vending machine providing drinks on site.

An ironing board is available in each kitchen and an iron may be borrowed from reception.

The reception office is open daily between 8.30am to 7:45pm.

We apologise but we have neither parking nor luggage storage facilities available on site.

The easiest way to find us is by public transport. If taking the underground, exit at Victoria station. Upon exiting the station turn right on Wilton Road and right again on Gillingham Street. The residence will be on your right, opposite the Sainsbury's car park.

From London's airports, we recommend taking the main transport route into London and taking the underground train to Victoria station.

I find it very comfortable for its position in the zone1, at only 250mt from the Victoria Station and the tube, and with the Gatwick Airport at only 30minutes by train. The room was clean and bed too. The staff is available with the customers. The standard of the rooms isn't too high but without excessive claims may be a good solution.

I would therefore suggest that the cleaning staff/wardens should report guests who are not cleaning up after themselves.

So I looked for a place in Internet and found Goldsmid House, which represented an excellent experience. In spite of being more expensive than Astor, the accomodations are much better and very suitable. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of staying here 10 days but extended my stay to 2 weeks to use as a base. The reception staff (Will & Charlotte) are extremely professional, friendly & helpful & I will never forget their kindness. My room was clean & I saved heaps of money by purchasing my meals from the Supermarket 1 minute away & utilizing the kitchen which I feel was of high standard. Also it was so convenient to have so many eateries nearby if I didn't feel like cooking. Victoria Station is the hub & buses & trains to all attractions were just around the corner. Would definitley stay here again & will highly recomend to all my friends in Australia.
