International House is located in a quiet residential area of Lambeth within walking distance of central London and many major tourist sights including the Imperial War Museum, London Aquarium, the South Bank, and Westminster (Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the Abbey). It has good underground and mainline rail links via Lambeth North and Waterloo station.
The Hall is a purpose built, nine storey building comprising 73 rooms with many of the rooms on the top floors offering panoramic views of London. Most rooms are large, fully carpeted with wash basins and fitted wardrobes. The bright, modern, well equipped kitchens and bathrooms are adjacent to the bedrooms.
Food and Drinks
There are cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery in every kitchen for your use. Please wash up and return borrowed items when you have finished using them.
Please help to keep International House clean and tidy after cooking.
You will find a wide range of restaurants in the area, offering local and international cuisines, as well as numerous cafés and bakeries. There is also Lower Marsh Street Market (until about 3pm daily).
Other facilities
There is a common room on the ground floor with a television for your use and enjoyment.
A limited number of hairdryers, vanity mirrors, irons and ironing boards are available from Reception.
There is a coin-operated launderette on the ground floor. Detergent and other laundry products can be purchased from local shops.
